Matt is a college hockey reporter and columnist for the Duluth News Tribune and Forum Communications in Duluth, Minnesota. He covers the University of Minnesota Duluth NCAA Division I men's and women's hockey programs, as well as the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and Western Collegiate Hockey Association. He also co-hosts a weekly podcast in season called Bulldog Insider.
Matt has spent two decades covering college hockey. Prior to coming to Duluth in 2014, he worked for a variety of outlets covering the original Central Collegiate Hockey Association and Northern Michigan University's NCAA Division I men's hockey program in Marquette.
Matt's experience goes beyond hockey. He is the lead reporter for the News Tribune's yearly coverage of Grandma's Marathon. He also has experience covering the National Hockey League and National Football League, as well as junior hockey and a variety of college and high school sports for newspapers, websites and radio networks throughout the Midwest.
